Application

Application must be filed with:

the chief of police station which has jurisdiction over the storage space

Documents required for application

  • Two copies of the application form for a Vehicle Storage Space Certificate
  • Two copies of the application form for a Vehicle Storage Space Certificate Sticker
  • Map/Diagram of the Vehicle Storage Space
  • Any of the following documents which authorize the applicant to use the storage space
    • When you own the storage space (land or building)
      Self-certificate of ownership of the space
    • When somebody else owns the storage space (land or building)
      A copy of the lease contract for the storage space or a certificate of agreement authorizing the usage of the storage space
    • When the storage space (land or building) is under joint ownership
      Letter of consent by all owners to authorize the usage of the property

Fees

  • Application fee for a Vehicle Storage Space Certificate　……　2,200 yen
  • Fee for a Vehicle Storage Space Sticker ……　550 yen
